T142 Britain First

T142 Britain First

Back to the story

G1944. An excellent picture dating from around 1935 of the original Britain First. This aircraft took the Royal Airforce into the second world war in Blenheim guise. Barnwell moved the wing root up to the centre line of the fuselage to accomodate bombs, uprated the fittings and fitted some armour. The aircraft was still faster than many of its contemporary fighters and proved to be ultra reliable.
